A good website for Photographers that has a great link to the 10 must have online tools for photographers. The website is called Epic Edits and is a great community blog & resources for those interested in the static shot.

Had a lot of fun on Saturday when I did a Portrait Photography training session with my good friend Leila Romaya. Leila is a brilliant photographer and was running a course on Portrait photography which she invited me to. Not only did I learn a lot of tips and techniques but I was able to ask my Sister, brother in law and niece & nephew to have some fun in ‘sitting’ for us. Leila was brilliant with the kids and we got some really excellent photos along the way. (We were using a Canon 5d camera for the shots and lighting with a couple of Bowens 500 on a brilliant white Calumet background.)

Loved this video sent through from Matt Frodsham! A post from Videopia on his vimeo site about Framing and Composition….talks about the Rule of 1/3rds in Lay man terms with good Film references!

Have been working with the lovely team at the Learning Lighthouse this week on the Wirral. I was teaching Photography Tricks and Tips to a class of 7-11yr olds and their parents/ guardians. It was a really fun session and the kids had a ball.
Here is the link to a previous post with links to Free online photo editing software…

I have been sent this link by the lovely ladies Patsi & April at the Learning Lighthouse CLC in Wallasey! It is a guy called Ross Wallis, art@sidcot school who does some real fun stuff with his photography sessions. I am going to take a look for some inspiration as I will be teaching a session with some young children at the Lighthouse soon.

The latest installment of the daily/weeklyish photoblog. Here are a number of photos of the art installation of Penguins around Liverpool. There are over 100 in the city.
