Rostrum and Parallax

The Parallax effect is an animation technique that brings to life your 2D photography. Sometimes referred to as the Parallax 2.5D effect, Photoshop is used to separate layers from your photography to then place in 3D space in software such as After Effects. It’s not quite 3D but merely cheating the effect of 3D animation and therefore called 2.5D. There is a degree of preparation to be done using the clone tool in Photoshop to assemble clean ‘plates’.
